Where are trace log file options set?

We are having space issues on our BO server. I found that there is about 6 GB worth of trace log files with dates as recent as today in c:\logdir\wicdztrace\. This is in addition to the log files in the "logging" directory.

Where are the options to turn this tracing on or off? And is it ok for me to get rid of these files? Do I need to stop any servers before deleting the files?

We are on BO XI R2 SP4. Any help or hints are appreciated.

Thank you!

that doesn't seem to be a common tracing directory, were you working any webi issues recently? Maybe a webi engineer choose that directory for something? For most processes in the CCM you ned to check the command line options. For webi the opions could be set as environment settings.

Sounds like someone has enabled bo_trace.ini logging.

Check your environment variables to see if you have following set :

BO_TRACE_CONFIGDIR

BO_TRACE_CONFIGFILE

BO_TRACE_LOGDIR

If you have - then simple rename file specified in BO_TRACE_CONFIGFILE to something else and this particular tracing wil be off.

Also check all your servers command lines in CCM or ccm.confog to see if they have -trace switch added.

Remove it if you don;t need deteiled logs.
