Use the Future Cost Estimate for COPA Planning

Hi,

Thanks for clicking this post.

We wish to use the Future (Planned) Cost Estimate (value from MBEW-ZPLPR) of a material for COPA Planning using Condition and Costing Sheets.

The Condition Types screen (8KEV) does not display the option of using this field for planning - all it contains is:

1. Material Master - Moving Average Price

2. Mat Master - Standard Price

3. Price According to Price Control

etc. etc.

Has anyone does this before? Is it possible to use this price?

Thanks in advance.

Venkat.

      Hi Walter, Thanks.

However, the Costing Key only transfers cost brokendown by CCS. Its useless if I have to view the Future Cost Estimate from the Material Master.

I'm looking for the something like VPRS, but picking up the Future Cost Estimate.

Say I'm planning for 2009, since I don't wish to release my Std Cost Estimates for 2009 now (and the system will not allow me either), we plan to mark the costs and use the marked costs for COPA Planning.

I read somewhere that one could use the Future Cost Est., as well as Costs maintained in the Commercial fields 01, 02, 03, and Tax Price 01, 02, 03, etc. for planning. Not sure how, though.

      Venky.

    Hi Raman

Ask your SD Consultant to create a condition type for future cost just like VPRS.

Assign a value field against the new Condition Type in (KE4i)

    Thanks

      Hi Bukhari,

VPRS uses Condition Category "G" (Cost). Any idea what Condition Category do I need to use for Future Costs?

How do I tell the system this new condition type should read the Future Cost and not the Current Cost Estimate?

      Thanks in advance.

      Venky.
