    Hello

Select user requirements VIA permissions and then save and F5. by......

The route you need to take is

    Sys Admin

    > Permissions

    > Open Portal Content

    > Open your role

    > right click and open permisions -

      Samir,

You can define permissions for the iView. Just open your iView in the Portal Content and choose "Permissions" in the drop down.

    Hi Samir,

Goto System Admin-> Permissions -> Open Portal Content -> Open your role > right click and open permisions ->

Now select which user needs which permissions and then save and execute.

    Hi Samir

What we have done is created a seperate roles that are liked to worksets etc....and that can be identified as different roles and at that point you can assign them to users.

    Hi Samir..

U must have heard about ''Role Merging.."

You can implement this in your case...

Here, one can allow the user to see only that role in the top level navigation, whose

priority has been set as low.Although the contents of the other role are visible too,

but only n the second level navigation, with the contents of the higher priority role.

Also if one wants to hide some of the contents of the low priority views,it can be done.

you have to simply open the role, and edit the properties of the pages or views or worksets

    contained in it.

    Thanks...

    Rewards appreciated....

    Dear All,

It means that either i have to set the permission for the users in the iview or need to create different role and merge it with the previous role for the users who requires the needed functionality.

Do correct me if I am wrong.

    Regards,

    Samir

    Yes Samir.

    1. Create another role with the same name and add the iView that you want only a few users to see in that role.

    2. Give same merge id to both the roles now, and assign the second role(in which the desired iView is there) to one particular user who u want to have access to that iView.

Jus check doing this, would be helpful.
