Hi friends,

I am right now working on PI 7.1 for first time.

Currently work is on B2B scenario.

I want to know what i have to use for making connection with Partner,

Webdispatcher or Router?

Hi Brij,

If you are connecting to another SAP system then without a doubt use the SAPwebdispatcher. It will connect to the message server of the recipient SAP system and receive the latest load balancing information directly. A hardware load balancer does not have this feature.

Also if a instance goes down on the recipient SAP system the message server will update the webdisp the next update of webdisp parameters (wdisp/auto_refresh profile, default is 120 seconds). So if an instance is down then the webdisp will only try to send requests to it for maximum 120 seconds.
