XCelsius Problems. Hotfixes available?

Hello community,

I'm creating a rather complicated XCelsius-Report by using XCelsius 2008 with SP1 installed and I am facing alot of bugs/errors:

1. Importing data from another Excel-sheet is impossible.

If I choose Import Data simply nothing happens. Also if I try to copy/paste the needed data from one Excel sheet in the Excelsheet on XCelsius it doesn't work, simply nothing happens here also. I also tried to modify the Excel-file which is contained in the XLF-file (renamed it to zip). Then I have the data, but some references are lost. In the end I typed the data in manually which took me about 3 hours 😔

2. References are lost

The most annoying and most dangerous bug is the fact the XCelsius sometimes forgets OR changes cell-relations dynamically. So in the end you have a report which looks good but the data is simply wrong. As I said the report I am working on is rather complicated with alot of sheets and data. Since this happens all the time and very dynamically I am forced to check all my relations before publishing the Report before giving it to the CEO. This takes alot of time and is complicated, I simply can't rely on relations which I have done before, it's like making the whole report again each time I just want to change a small piece somewhere.

3. Colors change

The colors of table in the Report will be taken from the colors you enter in Excel. This is great but occasionally all the colors within the Report are simply gone (changed to completetly different colors) whereas the colors in the excel is still the same. Then when I am setting the colors again by renewing the area in the Excel Problem 2 (see above) regularly comes in place 😔

4. Can't change targets

If you are using controls like the adjusting knob you can set a cell where the data comes from. So far so good. But sometimes I am not able to change the cell-location to another. This means that if if set the target cell where the data should come from it shows correctly in XCelsius the name of the cell. If you change the view, like e.g. going in the tree to another control and then going back to the property-palette for the adjusting knob then TADA the target cell is something different or the old value etc.. just like XCelsius wants to do.

5. Tree behaves very strange, objects do not show up...

The Tree in XCelsius is very well arranged. The problem is that it behaves very strange. If you copy/paste some groups within the tree then you will see the just copied group/items in the tree. Very nice but they won't show up in the canvas/report. you can click what you want - it simply doesn't show up but the tree tells me that the controls are there?! I have to try several times until I can see the objects in the canvas, sometimes after the second copy/paste process sometimes after the 30th copy/paste process.

6. Other stuff I just don't remeber anymore

There is alot more. The above mentioned bugs are the imo heaviest bugs I personally stumbeled across.

Don't understand me wrong: XCelsius is basically a great tool and although it really costs me quite an effort to create my reports at the end after 30 hours (for a report scheduled with 2 hours) it works occasionally.

My concern is just simple: Please help me, hand me over some hotfixes for XCelsius or I'm going slightly mad. Is there a place where I can get Hotfixes/Service Packs or when is the next service pack scheduled? Please HELP
