P.O commitment in PS

Dear masters,

Iam having one issue in my client project, we are having one service order in external processing, purchase requisition, purchase order, then ML81n service entry sheet. after that confirmation. but after this cylce i want to close this activity, but iam getting one error that There is still a purchase order commitment for ...plz tell me wht is the solution how do i close the project.

Hi Ansar,

If Service PO is still existing check whether you have done GR/IR.

yes sir in my project purchase order exists, service exists. even GR i sodne, then also iam having error. There is still a purchse order commitment.

please tel me wht to do , how to solve this issue??

as per ur request i had run cjen, but The project info database reconstruction starts within one network. the processing is complete.

Hi

Please put final invoice check for the Purchase Order and then see.

Else run RKANBU01 in SE38 for that Project.

Confirm if this helps.

Hi,

Check corresponding PR....whether u have consumed all the quantities from that....if not close it manually.

In me5j give that particular network and activity. Then select scope of list for open items.

Hi PS masters, actually i dont want to procedd further, in my project purchase requisition is been created, purchase order is been created, service entry sheet exists, now i want to block my PO. so now i want to close my activity, but the system gives the error..There is still Purchase order commitment.

plzz tell me wht to do?? i have checked all as masters told me before..plzz give me the way to slove this issue.

You can close the activity only when you complete all task assigned to the activity, you are getting error of PO commitment mens still some PO value commitments are not confirmed.

eg. If you place a 1 material PR, made PO, Made GR, Made GI

if you completed the for all qty then u can close the activity and if you made it partialy system will not allow to close the activity,

expoer the error you will find exact details.

YES , I WANT TO SHORT CLOSE THE PURCHASE ORDER.

It was not clear from all your posting what exactly you want to do. Only now it is clear that you want to short close the PO. There are two options here.

1. Contact MM consultant and ask him how to short close a PO as this is MM process and not PS process.

2. Set the status of the activity against which you have created this PR and PO to TECO. This should clear the requirement and hence commitment. This will not be useful in case there are more POs assigned to this particular activity in your project.

yes thanx alot to all of you, for helping me, where my issue is been solved, actually i need to short close the P.O, in ME2j i found out many P.O open , by locking the P.O iam able to close the activity.

Hi Ansar,

To close the PO follow the below Steps:

1) T.code ME22n Po Item Detail in Delivery Tab Check Delivery Completed Indicator.

2) Select the Line ITems which you want to Cancel/Close then Click on Delete Button / Icon below the Line Items so that If any user tries to change the po, It says po item is deleted.
