RFC issue

Former Member

Dears,

We have two servers PRO and NET,I am creating type 3 RFC from PRO to NET.

PRO is ECC5 and NET is netweaver 2004s.

Now issue is that test connection and all things are working fine in RFC but when i click on Remote logon it asks for password in NET.While i have already entered user name and password in RFC and user is also not locked.Password is also correct.

We have recently installed NET so as i am thinking there is some parameter that i need to set so that it didn't ask for password.

Please suggest.

Hi,

In PRO open your RFC using SM59 and check that logon user is type dialog under logon & security tab

Hi kaushal,

Trusted system is Inactive and SNC is also inactive.

But I checked that RFC that i created from NET to PRO is working fine with same options but from PRO to NET is creating issue. As i told NET is newly installed system.

Do i need to set any parameter for it.

Shivam,

when you say that the password is correct, it's not an initial password is it? Can you log on to the target client with that user? I have seen issues before where the issue was due to the password needing to be changed at first login, rfc test connection doesn't handle this well.

You could also select 'Current user' and manually enter your password (when prompted) to test the connection. At least this might rule out any issues with user/password.

Hi Scot,

It,s not initial password and i am able to login into target system by that user in target system I also tried with other users but same issue.

Password case-sensitivity changed from 640 to 70. 640 systems send their RFC passwords in all-caps. Make sure the password you set in the 70 system is in all-caps.
