Error in company code creation

Hi All,

When I am trying to create a company code by copying from the standard, it is giving the error " Enter numeric value only " while trying to save the company code. I want to give alpha numeric value. where can the setting be done so that I can give alpha numeric value?

Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company Code(T001)

Company is created by FI Consultant.

The company code is an organizational unit used in accounting. It is used to structure the business organization from a financial accounting perspective.

IMG -> Enterprise Structure -> Definition -> Financial Accounting -> Define, copy, delete, check Company Code

Dear Manjit

In IMG path -- Enterprise Structure --> Definition --> Financial Accounting --> Edit, Copy, Delete, Check Company Code. Here, you have to select Edit Company Code and either you can select New Entries or press F6.
