Hi All,
When we cost a finished good, will it's BOM(semi-finished goods on std price) get costed together as well? Or do we need to cost the semi-finished good separately?
Thanks,
CW
Choon Wee Teo ,
Generally when we do costing Run and we use CK40N (for matrials which are having BOM and having a tick mark in with Qty str, in Costin view Or else the material will be ignored), for the finished good whch is having some components in its lower level , the main part will be costed along with the child parts in its BOM, othere than FERT , HALB, ROWetc, a company can have it own material types and status,
Thank you ,
Hope this will clarify your basic Doubts,

Dear,
FERT stand for FINISH GOODS.
It is product which is used for sell & material type is FERT.
In FERT BOM generally following is attached as BOM Component.
HALB
Secondary Packing material.
Primary Packing material.
Corrugated Box
Hope above will helpful to you.

Hi
Usually Parent BOM includes all Child BOMs (for Semi finished goods and Raw materials which are part of Parent BOM). Hence total cost includes cost of child BOM also.

Dear,
When we run cost estimate for FERT material at the same time all component of BOM will be costed.
In FERT - BOM , as component Semi finish (HALB) is attached then it will costed by system while costed FERT material.
IF semi finish goods have it's own BOM then you have to do costing seprately for it.
Hope above will helpful.
