Transport error due to "isolated" business system

Hi friends,

While importing some ID Objects in the configuration scenario in production XI, there was an error thrown in CMS that -

"A business system XYZ_123 doesn't have a business system in group XI_Production."

From SLD, I found that this business system is associated with the XI group of QA. Further, the business system has neither transport source nor transport target. The strange part is we are not using this system anywhere in our configuration.

I suspect this issue might be resolved by assigning some transport target to the system. Can anyone pls let me know why this error ?

Hi,

The Cause for this Error is

1) Assume that u have used the business system in QA as BS_Q

While Exporting the ID objects From QA to PRD, all objects will reffers to the BS_Q Business system.

Once you Exported these and trying to Import those in PRD means these Objects will look for the Business system of BS_Q inorder to Import successfully.

But unfortunately this BS_Q will not be present in the PRD SLD section.

So thats why this Error.

is this business sytem not used directly but used in header mapping anywhere?

Well it's not used in my scenario.. Thats is what I want to understand - that if it is used anywhere else, why that should cause problem to my scenario's transport ?

Although I am following up to add some transport target to the system, but want to know is this a global issue that will come up for any transport of ID Objects ?

The system might have been used in the past.

So it is referred in the historical data. That helps to delete the unvalid entries in production system.

Hi

While importing objects in I.D....All Business systems in SLD will look for target business systems.

so if any B.S is not used ...delete it from SLD....otherwise it will give error while importing objects in I.D

This means that the business system is part of the QA development. Ur SLD system must have the Business system for Production. Assign a transport target as production business system to ur QA business system and then try to import.
