Hello evry1.

I m using F4 help on a screen field using following code snippet

field sapfld select * from zcust1

where

rectype = options and

sapfield = sapfld.

Now i want to populate 2 other fields using the selection.

i.e sapfld is populated by user selection

using this value i want to populate 2 fields length and descpn on the field which are also fields of the table zcust1.

Can anyone tell me how to do this.

    Hi,

    As far as i understood the query, we need to populate the fields length and desc as per the value selected for sapfld.

    To achieve this, we had already selected the fields from the Z table and now we just need to assign the values to the parameters on the screen. just say

    <parameter on screen> = zcust1-length

    <parameter on screen> = zcust1-desc

    Correct me if I understood wrong.

    regards,

    teja.

    i tried the following thing but its not working

    field sapfld select * from zcust1

    where

    rectype = options and

    sapfield = sapfld and length1 = length2

    and descp1 = desc2.

    where length2 and desc2 are screen fields and length1 and descp1 are zcust1 fields.

      Hi,

      as per my understanding you need to select two more fields from zcust1 based on the input.....

      select * from zcust1

      where rectype = options

      and sapfield = sapfld

      and length1 = length2

      and descp1 = desc2.

      the statement has to work, did you check data is there in the table as per your input.

      if you can able to elabarate your requirement, can be able to give suitable answere.....

      Thanks,
