Movement 313 is allowing material to material transfer

Hi all,

I need to hide some fields in transaction MIGO_TR and only for some movements.

The thing is that when doing a 313 movement the system is showing 2 material fields (one in the "From" area and another one in the "Dest" area) and both are editable so the user CAN change the material.

This functionality should be available only trough movement 309.

I think a solution will be to hide one of the fields for the material code but could not do this, anybody know how to do this? Any other idea to block this option from movement 313?

to hide some fields for certain movement type u can use OMBW

Hi,

To my knowledge OMJJ and OMBW settings has control for Field Selection, other than that you can check the settings for goods movement (MIGO) if you still the issue persists

Hi,

Check OMJJ for 313 - Field selection enjoy , if UMMAT is kept optional entry... In that case too you will be able to enter a receiving material during the transaction

I entered to field selection enjoy in transaction OMJJ for movement 313 but I can not see UMMAT. I only see CUSTNAME, EXVKW, GRUND, LIFNR, SGTXT, WEANZ and WEMPF...

Hi Mariano,

Please go to OMBW - movement type 313 - go to details of Transfer Postings and make the receiving material - Supress.

I suppose it is presently kept as optional

Hi

Although in 313, if it is having a field to input Material code, you will not be able to input a different material code, it will not have the functionality of 309.

Thanks all for the reply.

I know movement 313 is to transfer material from storage location to storage location and movement 309 is for material to material transfer but still, in our system, the screen for movement 313 has 2 fields to imput material code, one in the "From" area and the other one in the "Dest" area.

When I imput a material code in the From area and press enter, this code is automatically copied to the material field in the "Dest" area. The problem is that i can edit both of these fields and put different material codes therefore making what movement 309 does: a material to material transfer.

I also checked transaction OMBW and everything seems ok there: the only field related to material codes is the field "Material number (FI only)" and it is suppress.

I wish I could attach here the screen but it is not possible, is it?

MIGO / MB1B 313 Movement type is For Transferring Material from one Storage Location to Another in Two Step Method.

MIGO / MB1B 309 Movement type is Used For Material to Material Transfer.

Could you Elaborate your Issue Correctly?

Movement type 313 is for Stock transfer storage location to storage location in two steps - removal from storage

The quantity is transferred from unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location to stock in transfer in the receiving storage location.

SO it will ask for 2 materials?
