BOM not exploding

Hi gurus,

I have am running MPS for a BOM, And i need the Purchase requisitions for the all the lower level components of BOM, But i am getting a Planned order for the FERT and i am not getting anything for the halb or ROH.

I have maintian all the materials ie FERT Halb and ROH as MPS materials with a planning time fence.so i am using MPS type M2.

what should i check where should be the error.

Hi,

Please, check that you've maintained following settings:

1. For all the BOM components (up to last level) check in MRP 4 view of Material master

• Individual / Collective - It should be Individual or Individual/Collective.

2. For all BOM headers Materials (Fert , Halb ) check in MRP4 view for MRP for Dependent requirement should be maintain as Dependent requirement are Planned.

3. Check the "Selection method" field in MRP4 view for the FG.

4. Item status of the BOM components is "Production relevant". This setting is available in "Status/Lng Text" / item level data in BOM.

The BOM status should be "Active" i.e. This BOM can be exploded in MRP and released for planned orders.

Hi,

Please run MRP with MD40 and mark the Process MRP materials during MPS This selection determines whether all BOM levels are to be planned during MPS.

Dear,

Please let us know whether you have stock for all HALB and ROH material?

If you are using M2...is the scheduled dates of HAL materials is with in the firimg date.

Just for testing purpose...chenge the setting to PD and test is it working, it BOm is exploding then the problem is with firming fence.

Hi Rajesh,

There is some stock , but its less than the requirement.so i feel it should give some PR's and also the delivery date is outside the PTF , but the Planned order that i am getting for the FERT is also outside PTF.
