Invalid export DLL or export format

Hi, I'm experiencing a problem with Crystal Report 2008 in our web application (.NET 2.0) when we export report in MS Excel format.

The error message that appears when we try to export data in such format (there is no problem with pdf and MS word) is stated in the thread subject.

The merge module is included in the .msi as part of the installation package but we don't know if the problem is matter of corrupted dll, missed grants on MS Server 2003 or something else, could you please provide me with any help or let me know if you need further information?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks!

Mirko,

If you are able to export to Excel within the CR2008 stand alone designer then I would suggest posting this to the Business Objects SDK Application Development > .Net forum.

If you have any issues exporting within CR2008 reply back to this thread with the error you receive

Hi Graham,

yes, it works within the CR2008 stand alone designer, the problem is just when installed on the MS2003 server and accessed as web application. I think it's due to permissions but I can't see which permissions should be assigned to network service user.

Moreover I noticed someone else reported the same problem here:

so I'm following that to see if we can figure that out.

Thanks,

M.
