If at all you want to Known about costing relating to a Product it starts like this as mentioned here under:
Initially we need to Identify the Cost Elements directly Or indirectly affecting the Costing Aspects of a product:
Direct Cost - Primary Cost Elements
Indirect Cost - Secondary Cost Elements need to be Identified
Under Secondary Cost Elements you need to find out which SCE will influence the costing i.e. Cost Element Category 41,42,43,21 etc.
Later, Cost Centers identification is essential, SKF, Activity types which play a vital roll to integrate with PP while they create Work Centers, process or production orders. Therefore we need to go for 2 more TC i.e. KP06 & KP26.
Next we need to create settlement profile i.e find out sender cost objects and receiver cost objects and write down the settlement rule through an allocation structure to transfer all the costs to a perticular object through distributions and assessment cycles followed by segments.
As a part also prepare the Cost Sheet, costing Varient, RA Key to settle the WIP, and Costing Components involved in Costing.
Keeping all this in View KP06, KP26, CK11n, CK24, CK40n, etc play a vital role in costing
In brief I could be able to explain you as I am totally busy involved in a rollout project.
