    Hello,

    Please do the following

In AFAB, you can find the button "range" for assets to be considered. There you can mention which assets are not be depreciated.

    OR

In case you want not to depreciate the particular assets you create them in a separate asset class with in the same Account determination. You can eliminate them in the Depn. run t. code AFAB by specifying the individual asset no wise.

    Thanks

      Hi Tamil

In your depreciation key you have set up period control rules. When you retire (deactivate) it look to the settings.

You can set this up like:

Depreciation stops on the begin of this fiscal

Depreciation stops on the end of this period.

Dependend of the settings this will create postings for depreciation in your retirment posting and / or depreciation run for that month (old months).

    Hi,

U can specify a depreciation key for the asset which has 0% rate of depreciation. Also u can avoid giving dep area by making it an optional field in asset master field status.

    thanx

    Hi

Select the check box of Asset Shut Down in Time dependent tab in Asset Master.

    Asset shutdown

Set this indicator if you want to shut down the asset for the displayed period of time.No depreciation will be calculated for assets that have been shut down when you use an appropriate depreciation key.

Or Select Dactivation date in General Tab in Asset Master

    Deactivation date

The system enters the asset value date of the retirement posting for a full retirement in this field.Once an asset has been deactivated, you can no longer post to the asset (with one exception: posting a reversal of the last retirement). In order for you to be able to make correction postings after an asset has been deactivated, you can also manually change the deactivation date in the asset master record

    Thanks
