I am not an expert but a few chaps here are and love the thing. From my perspective using it it is a very easy thing to use with a lot of possible features due to its open source roots. If you don't like a tool then just find a better one.

Also I am a bit of a memory geek and I do like the way that Linux swaps are very easy to understand, in fact swaps are exactly what they should be, they do not include I/O or all memory is not mapped there to start with and so Linux is eally simple to understand.

As I said I'm not an expert but I am a Basis person of 14 years who finds it very easy to use. You can argue though that you get used to any OS but as some idea, we recommend Linux as the platform of choice now.

Hi,

It means, you have to write this substantiate document because you are the one knowing the specific context of your SAP landscape...

Hi Vimal,

I also recommend that you contact your Linux vendor who would probably be happy to assist you with this information.

There may be limited information on Linux on SDN at however, as a rule, SAP is (supported) platform neutral.

Matt
