    Hi,

Usage of BPM depends upon the scenarios.

Generally BPM is used for below scenarios

    1. Async-Sync Bridge or Sync-Async Bridge (RFC -- File or RFC ---HTTP etc)

    2. Collect pattern etc.

See Step by step scenarios with BPM -- Walkthrough with BPM

    Hi Iqbal,

File to File scenario in BPM steps:

    Steps in IR:

1.> Create Data types: Source and Target

2.> Create Message Types: Source and Target

    3.> Create Message Interface:

    a.>Outbound Asynchronous Interface for sender

b.>Abstract Asynchronous Interface so that BPM will pass the file to Integration Process because IP doesnot understand the outbound or Inbound interfaces.

    c.>Inbound Asynchronous Interface for receiver

    4.> Create Message Mapping

5.> Create Interface Mapping between Outbound and Abstarct Interfaces.

    6.> Create Integration Process

a.> Use one Receiver step for receiving the messages in IP

b.> Use one Sender step for sending the messages to receiver

c.> Create one container where you can define your abstract interface

    Steps in ID:

    1.> Create Configuration Scenario

2.> Create Bussiness Service and give the outbound and inbound interaces

3.> Import the Integartion Process craeted in IR

    4.> Create communication channels

But while creating other steps please rememebr that sender service is your Bussiness service but Receiver service is your Integration Process

    5.> Create sender agreement

    6.> Create Receiver agreement

    7.> Create Interface determination

    8.> Create Receiver determination

I hope this will help you

    Regards,

    Nutan
