Regarding storage type

HI gurus

Please clarify me

when i am creating a material i am giving one stroage type

and while initial stock entery in mb1c i give another type what it means what is the difference

between two storage type and also

when i am taking stock initally it sits in 998

but i want the stock to move to 001 fixed bin storage

how to do that

Dear,

Check Material Master - MM03.

Enter Material Code select MRP2 view.

Here you can see two storage location,

1) Production Storage Location. - At the time of issue material system take this storage location - MB1C.

2) Storage Location for EP - Your material stock is update in this storage location.

If you want to default storage location please maintain only storage location for EP.

now what happened in in mb1c my stock is sitting in 998 - tr-12-01 storage bin

now i want that to move to 001 storage type 01-01-01

how to do that

With MB11 t-cdoe take movement type 411.
