Hi
I have a Multilevel BOM, when I run MRP for the FERT material only for the first level material (HALB & ROH) the BOM is expoded and the remaining level are not planned, wht might be the cause.
Jade
Hi,
Check whether stock is available in below level. If it is so BOM will not explode.
Check the valid date of that BOM. In the requirement date, the BOM should be valid.
Check have you assigned any phantom material, If it is so BOM will not explode.
Check in material master whether MRP view created or not.

Hi
MRP type of the FERT material is PD and I carried out MRP using T.Code : MD02
In MRP 4 View - Materials for dependent requirements are planned.
Also when I check the Planning file entry for the HALB material which is not exploding, the Processing Keys (NETCH,NETPL) are not selected 'X' and also explode BOM is not selected

Dear Jade,
Check the
1. validity date of all the BOM's
2.If you are using production version check the valid from & to date of them
3.Also the the status of the HALB bom, whether is it active or inactive.
4.Check its plant specific material material status.
5.check what value have you given in BOM selection method .
Check & Correct the modifications required,re run MRP with planning mode 3.

Dear Mangalraj
a) Validity date of all the BOM are from today till 31.12.2999
b) We are not using Production Version.
c) Halb Bom status is active.
d) BOM selection method its left Blank - Selection by order quantity
I am using Procurement type for HALB - F ( as we want to create PR for this material.
Jade
Hi Dharma
I changed the Procurement type as X but still I am having the problem.
When I run MRP for the header material planned orders are created and for the Raw material PRs are created but for the Semifinished Material when we check the MD04 Screen you could see Dependent requirements and no Planned orders are there......

Hi, Please remove the strategy from SFG material and run the MRP it will work by keeping std setting in FG only. i.e 11 & Mixed MRP-2. But in planned order existing stock will be consumed.

Hy Jade,
- Check in Material Master of Halb (For which BOM is not exploded)
in MRP 4 view.for Planing for dependent requirement. It should be Planned.
- Check the Planned order of that Halb code which is created furing MRP.Is BOM exploded over here (Correct Prod. Version selected)

Ater reading through the communication i feel things are okay, hence try to run the following in sequence
Run
1. MDAB - Planning file entry-background
2. MDRE - Consistency Check
3. MD02 - Single-Item, Multi-Level
MD02 with following parameter
Processing key - NEUPL
Planning mode - 3. Delete and recreate planning data.
Please come back
Hi,
Check BOM Components > Status/LngText tab > Further Data section > 'Bulk Material' should not be checked.
If you have Production Version then check whether it is maintain properly (in C223)

Chintan
