Hi All,

in a scenario if rollback is considered before go live of production tenant, what activities to be performed and considered for complete or partial roll back.

> In terms of Master/Transnational data?

> Connectivity related activities?

> Developments/ Changes done during a cut-over (changes done to system)?

> Patch solutions?

> any other activities to look at?

purpose is to safeguard and plan in case project decides rollback plan.

Appreciate your inputs asap.

Best Regards,

Hi Suman

- Only 1 Restore Point(RP) can exist at a time on a tenant

- RPs normally have a lifespan of 14 Days from the time of activation and are deleted afterwards automatically, so any reset required must be requested within this timeframe only

- RPs are usually requested in the context of Data Migration runs for any rollbacks

- If you have PDI implementation, please avoid deploying new PDI solution patches on the source system where RP is requested, as this will then update all tenants where this PDI solution exists including the RP Tenant, and a restore/reset at a later point in time would not be assured as the RP tenant would have an updated PDI Solution Version

- Once a RP is created, PDI Solutions are in 'Read-Only' state, and they would be available for 'Edit' only after RP is deleted/or expires/or a rollback is done.

- A restore would include a potential risk to loss of data to the date of Restore Point and there are no recovery options available after the reset process is done

Hope this answers your queries!
