Alternate Item in Planning : Need Soution

Hi All,

There is a requirement related to Alternate item in Planning. Below is the scenario:

To produce Material FG1, there are three alternate items i.e. ALT1, ALT2 and ALT3.

In PIR (MD61), requirement is raised to produce 200 KG FG1 material. And all the alternate materials have stock quantity as 50 KG each.

FG1 PIR : 200 KG

ALT1 : 50KG

ALT2 : 50 KG

ALT3 : 50 KG

Now during MRP Run, system should consider all the alternate materials stock that will be total 150 KG and raise the Purchase Requisition of 50 KG against alternate material ALT1 only.

Kindly provide the detailed solution to map in SAP system. We are using MRP strategy 11

Hello

There is a solution called interchangeability of parts, which is part of the DIMP industry solution, which allows you to plan several materials together. This feature is active by default in SAP S/4HANA. See below:
