My client has put a requirement if a sales order is blocked in status profile then there cannot be mrp run

Once object status got approved then mrp should be done.

Thanks and Regards,

Hello Tushar Saxena,

You can choose the schedule line category as CN -No Material Planning. So that particular line item will not take into account during MRP

Hi Prasath Elumalai

Thnx for replying , I do have thought for the same feature , yet client wants this activity to be done through status profile only.

Where there will be 2 released icons :-

1 - Released for MRP
2 - Released for Outbound Delivery.

Can you suggest because right now mrp is controllable through sales order header level status profile , same concept client wants to remove from header level and get it done in line item level.

Why you want status profile when you have a standard option of Reason for Rejection in sale order? Once you set this, system will not trigger requirements to procurement / production team and you can set an authorization to remove this reason for rejection.

Hi ,

I also guided user the same thing but if we put reason for rejection in line item then that sales order will considered as close in my sales report.

Hi Caetano Almeida,

My requirement is to control mrp through status profile in sales order line item,

Once released then only PP team can do mrp, procurement , production

Hello

Usually, if you don't want to have a sales order relevant to MRP, you set a schedule line category or a requirement type that is not relevant to MRP.

Check the notes referred in document https://archive.sap.com/documents/docs/DOC-50641 for more information about sales order requirements.
