estimated amount in quotation

hi gurus,

our sales team after creating quotation does not cancel the document even though if it is not referenced or converted to sales order, and the estimated amount in quote is creating problems in account posting at the end of month reports as quote is still active, we want to avoid this to happen in future and also how to cancel all the quotes that are already existed.

Hi Naga,

We can cancel the quotations .

Go to VA22 and in the menu go to -> delete the quotation .and then save it

To block the quotation

In VA22 , item data -> schedule lines, put the block for the line items

The other way to block this document from further usage is to complete the quotaion by giving "reason for rejection"

Go to va22 >>>EDIT >>Fast Change of >> Reason for rejection.

Hi,

I am not clear with your accounting data. Why quatation is creating any accouning data. Quatiation will be valid based on expiry date. If you want cancel all of them at header level then go to MASS t.code there u just assign reason for rejection and then excute. then it will update all quations with reason for rejections and all will be closed and it will create any further documents..

Thanks to vivek and raja for quick answers,

how to cancel in bulk, using Tcode Mass, can you explain a bit clear please, and other problem is here our sales team never cancel the quotation as it is not allowed in this company, is there anything that to avoid this in future when a quotation is created which is not referenced the estimated amount does not transfer to accounting and limiting that quotation.

Hi gopi,

You can also think of rejecting the quotation with a reason for rejection. You can put the reason for rejection at the header level for the document as a whole, or for each line items. Correct me if I didn't understand your requirement correctly.
