Hi Frnds

while creating LMSW, in recording method, i created 1000 customers in DEV server.now i want to transfer those 1000 customers from DEV to QAS. how to do this .plz reply me

HI,

You will never be able to transfer master data from one client to another as there will be no creation of transfer requests.

You have to first load the LSMW( in case if both the clients are cross clients then the LSMW program loaded in one will be displayed in all the clients in that server.

In case if it is not there then you have to export the LSMW program and IMPORT it into develpment and then try loading the vendors similar to the procedure that you adopted in DEV.

NOTE: make sure that the transfer requests which you have created in DEV should be moved to QAV before you load the vendors data. You have to have even recon accounts before you load.

WHY WE HAVR TO LOAD IN DEV - it is up to you and ur client to decide the procedure of implementation. IT is not necessary to load it in DEV and then QAV and then PRD. usually they do the data in QAV then in PRD. some clients will make them do more number of times inorder to have consistent data and without errors in PRD.

Master Data Cannot be Uploaded Dev to QA.

You have to Upload again to QA Server Thru LSMW.

if master data we can't upload from DEV to QAS, then why the need of uploading this in DEV.i mean instead of this direct we can upload in QAS.plz clarify me.

hi

its depends on ur strategy what u wanna do

suppose u have 3000 vendors and u can test ur scenarios on 150 vendors so no need to make all the vendors in dev

but just to see the perfection of the vendors or for check list u have to it

so ur client will check all the vendors and other details in dev or quality and then only u will transfer it to production

Hi,

You can note transport master data (Customer Master) from one Server to another. You have to follow the ALE concept for that.

Better you export your LSMW from DEV and then import it in QA. And then upload the same file in QA ug this LSMW.

To Export from DEV, go to T. Code LSMW, here click menu Extras > Export Projects and then Enter Project Name and Press enter here select the Subprojects and recordings to be exported and save to a local PC.

And to Import in QA, go to T. Code LSMW, here click menu Extras > Import Projects and import from the local file.

whatever LSMW u created in DEV transfer that to QAS, ask ur basis guy they will transfer. and create those 1000 customer data in QAS
