Hi

Even I tried for this, how to maintain versions in SD.

We can find the version field in sales order>Header>sales tab.

If anyone knows about this please explain.

Hi King,

Regards,

As per my understanding of your query you need to see the version of the program.

Pls goto va01 -> system -> status ,click on that.

Now one dialog box will appear then in that click on program screen ie SAPLSMTR_NAVIGATION ( in this case)

then double click on that.

Now you will goto the ABAP editor.

Now select utilites -> versions ->version management.

Here you can see the version of the program.

If you need further information pls let me know.

Hi..

You can manually maintain this field while creating sales order.

It is used to mention versions of document.

I think no configuration is required for that.

Hi King,

In SAP version Management is very useful to keep track of the changes that you make to your program. Version Management helps in keeping a record of the changes that you make and in case you want to revert back to the older version you can do so by activating the appropriate version. Version management is a better way of trying out some change in the code and if this leads to undesirable results then you can go back to the earlier version. In case you want to revert back to the earlier version you need to re-activate it. Version management is also useful to an auditor to review the complete history of a program. The system administrator can view the version management to track changes in a specific time interval.
