Hello,

I am working on an EDI implementation for my company with a 3rd party warehouse and I am trying to figure out how to send my material master to them so they can create the same materials in their system. I have read about transaction BD10 but I am not sure if I can use it to generate an IDOC and send them the material master. If BD10 is possible, please let me know. Thanks

BD10 is possible, it is anyway the only standard transaction to send material masters by Idoc on demand.

Of course you can also distribute data based on change pointers, but it would be ridiculous to create change pointers to do so while BD10 can directly be used.

So basically create a LS partner and maintain the partner profile in WE20 and mention the partner when executing BD10?

basically yes.

You can either read the documentation and some blogs before you do your customizing or you just execute and get yourself from error to error and look after the solution for each error message here in the community too,

I recommend the first method. Just click the search icon on top right and enter BD10 WE20 and execute. Then use the filter by TYPE on the right and filter on documentation or blog. There is plenty good stuff. Alternative
