Changing data class of a table

Former Member

Hi Guys,

I am having problems on changing the data class from USER (Customer Data Class) to APPL0 (Master Data, Transparent Tables). The table already exist and contains 200+ records already. I tried changing the data class in the technical settings but when I am trying to save the changes this error occurs:

Cannot access file /usr/sap/MD7/trans/sapnames/GALT_P

What could be the possible fix for this error? GALT_P is in the last changed field.

Thanks!

Regards,

Mike Nacionales

Though I am not sure of the probable solution but i would like you to check the following:-

1. Do u have change rights on the file path mentioned in the error? Please check with the BASIS team.

2.Also check is it because of the removal of the user files for GALT_P.Where i suppose it is searching kind of archives of the transport.
