Process order Basic Start Date & Finish Date Problem

Dear SAP Experts,

During the Creation of process order creation there is a major problem regarding the Basic start date and end,because as we are using Scheduling type as Forward scheduling and the input is as start date the system should calculate the finish date automatically according to the Master recipe standard value.

But it takes the value Four months from the date of Start date

As attached screen shot the start date is 10.01.2018 and the finished date is automatically calculated as 14.04.2018 and this is happening particularly only for this specific material .

For all other materials thee dates are calculated correctly.

Please give solutions asap as i checked all the configurations and material master but could not come with a solution.

i have checked OPUZ in which the date is opuz.png

Please give your valuable inputs it woild be appreciated.

Hi Siddhanth,

You can first refer to the KBA 2584494 - Scheduling in Process Order. Notice that process order is always executing both backwards and forwards scheduling. And operation relationships , resource capacity, formula and standard values can affect calculation result.

hi i have just one years of experience in sap pp and qm and previously i was worked support consultant for 6 months now i am working in new implementation project just 54 days completed still working is going on.I also facing the same problem. But what i understood that problem comes depends on master data fields that i mentioned below. In-case of my answer will be wrong means please tell me the correct answer tanq.

1. material master MRP 2 view

2. work center.

3. routing activity type timings.

4. mrp run md02- scheduling.

1. in MRP 2 view don't maintain schedule margin key. Now a days some consultants are not maintained this key. if you are suppose to maintained this system will calculate depends on scheduling key.( what you maintained in floats).

2. work center capacities view check the individual capacity categories.

3. In routing mostly some one used base quantity 1, instead of this one you can increase the quantities and run one cycle you will get an idea. And also depends on setup, machine, labor times system will take more days to finish the order.

4. MRP run MD02 scheduling- instead of basic time scheduling you can use lead time scheduling. system will calculate depends on what you maintained activity types timings in routing.
