Unable to download SAP BI Platform Support Tool

Hi there,

I have tried on several occasions and used three different browsers but I cannot seem to be able to download the "SAP BI Platform Support Tool". I enter my S-user credentials, am authenticated, receive no errors but just get a blank screen every time I try to download it. The link I am using is:

Any ideas?

Hello,

Are you able to browse the http://service.sap.com? if yes

Click the SAP Support portal

Click Software Downloads

INSTALLATIONS AND UPGRADES --> By Categories --> SAP TECHNOLOGY COMPONENTS --> SAP BI PLATF SUPPORT TOOL(SCN) --> SAP BI PLATF SPRT TOOL SCN 2.1

Thanks for your reply.

I can access the Software Downloads page in the portal but the only options available are:
SAPINST
SAP BUSINESS PROCESS BLUEPRINTING (SAP BPB)
SAP CR CONTENT
SAP_NOTES
SAP REMOTE DATABASE MONITOR

To be clear, the only items I see (as indicated above) are in:

INSTALLATIONS AND UPGRADES --> By Categories --> SAP TECHNOLOGY COMPONENTS -->

Unfortunately that number (Canada one) does not appear to connect me to SAP. (sigh) I will try the email address and hope for a response. Thanks for trying though.

I should also add that I've also tried the SAP Download Manager. The "SAP BI Platform Support Tool" appears in the list of software ready for download in my download basket (file size 327,920 KB). However every time I try to download, the download progress bar remains at 0 and the status says "Download not started". The message in the lower portion of the screen says: "The object information returned from the SAP Support Portal contains an error." After the error appears it clears after a few minutes and then in the Download status column it says, "Direct download not allowed".

To all those following this thread or happen to come upon it, this issue is very close to being fixed. We are just waiting for the changes (allowing download for Edge and CR Server customers) to get implemented in production SWDC.

I'm also experiencing the same issue. Direct DL: does not work nor does this:

I'm sorry you are having trouble. Since BIPST version 2.1 the software is now associated with SAP BusinessObjects license / download permissions. Can you confirm, do you use your S-USER to download SAP BusinessObjects software? For example, can you download files from SAP BusinessObjects BI platform?

I have experienced exactly the same issue. It has been going on for the last 3 weeks at least.

Also if I go through Install and Upgrades... - bi platform doesn't show up there. Can't understand why.

I do have credentials because I did download BIPST 2.0 last year.
