Appreciate you immediate response on the same !

Hi Gouse,

According to the official Microsoft description: "Sqljdbc42.jar requires a JRE of 8 and supports the JDBC 4.2 API".

This means you will have to upgrade your 7.40 system to release 7.50 since NetWeaver 7.50 is based on Java 8. It's recommended to use the latest SP if you do an upgrade.

Best regards,

Dear Mate,

Thanks for your valuable suggestion.

Upgrading from 7.40 system to release 7.50 would be a big change.

Is there any latest SP version in 7.40 which can cover this ?

Thanks,

Gouse

Dear Gouse,

NetWeaver 7.40 is uses JVM 6.1 which is based on Java 6.

NetWeaver 7.50 is uses JVM 8.1 which is based on Java 8.

You can try to install a non-central Adapter Engine which is a 7.50 system (Java 😎 and run your JDBC scenario there.

Best regards,
Mate

Minor Correction and some additional information:

We have installed MySQL driver to support "MY SQL DB" + upgraded sqljdbc40.jar to sqljdbc42.jar in our landscape we are facing issues with existing sql DB connection.

We are getting the above error.

Thanks,

Gouse
