Message server - restart

Hi there,

I had a message server problem and I need to restart it.

How Do i do it?!

I'm executing the code below

msg_server ms.sapPR3_DVEBMGS10 pf=/usr/sap/PR3/SYS/profile/PR3_DVEBMGS10_cpir3prd

But this code is not completing!

Hi,

First once u stop the SAP server then after stoping the sap server.

2nd stop the Oracle services and restart the server once

3rd once again restart the SAP server now I must start due to my openion

Hi there,

thanks for all answers!

I cant to do this, because it is a productive environment.

I create a crontab to execute the command quoted above, until the monthly closing!

In the monthly closing, i'll restart the system!

I also faced a problem in the message server needed to be restarted.

I also tried to restart the message server as you described.

This looked OK but one way or another the system did not "recognise" the message server to be restarted.

I ended out having to restart the complete SAP system.

Not sure about your question.

Which system do you have and what is the problem in msg Server.

If it si sap and I believe is Central instance ,you can just login by sidadm and restar r3 like this.

login by sidadm

stopsap r3

startsap r3

it will restart your message server.
