Problems within VL10b (delivery is NOT created)

Former Member

Hi guys,

I'm experiencing problems within VL10b.

I created a cross-company purchase order with all the necessary data. If I open VL10b and select the order (by date or order number... both works) it is shown just fine. BUT when I click the button for background creation, it doesn't work.

There's no log or error-message, just nothing which would give me a hint about what's the problem.

Anybody got any ideas what to check in order to find out where's the problem?

Any input is greatly appreciated... thx & regards,

Bobby

Hey everybody,

issue closed!

Once again the problem was the confirmation control....

Thanks for your numerous input!

Hello,

we have been having the same issue, whereby the PO comes up in the VL10B, however, as the PO is selected and an outbound delivery has to be issued for the PO, nothing happens. Neither an outbound delivery nor an error with some sort of explanation.

Would really appreciate it, if someone would point me in the right direction.

Hi,

Open your order & check 'Delivery Schedule' tab.

Check 'Delivery Date'. Check it to system date & then try to make delivery.

It should be displayed in VL10B - background check.

Hi Chintan,

The problem is not that the PO is not shown in VL10B, BUT that I can process it further! When I press the "process background"-button nothing at all happens.

If you should have any further ideas let me plz know!

Cheers,

Make sure the PO is released and or the shipping data is populated

if the plant is not setup for shipping data than also you will not see the delivery

Hi Charly,

Thx for your hints...

> Make sure the PO is released

No release strategy whatsoever maintained, so no release needed...

> and or the shipping data is populated

The tab is populated (incl. such things like the route, etc.)

> if the plant is not setup for shipping data than also you will not see the delivery

the plant is set-up for shipping...

The delivery appears in VL10b, BUT when I click on background processing nothing happens! If you got any other ideas... plz let me know!

cheers,

Bobby

IF really nothing happened, then you may have forgotten to select the item before you click background processing.

Otherwise you should get some info in the log, which can be accessed when you are back at the selection screen.

Hi Jürgen,

I wish it would have been THAT easy I did mark the line and sorry for being unprecise. The colour of the line switches from red to blue, but if you want to see which delivery document has been created, the column with the SD-document stays empty.

Moreover, when I restart VL10b the order is available again, which of course indicates that the system has done nothing...

still in desperate need for help...

do it again. after the colour of the line had switched from red to blue, use back button to go back to the selection screen. There click the huge button to display the log. Drill down the log to the deepest detail to see the full message.

Jürgen,

I checked the log already beforehand (and got disappointed).... here is what the system says:

Diagnosis

An error has occured while delivering the order items in the

background that cannot be processed in the program.

System Response

The system does not generate any deliveries.

Procedure

Try to correct the error, described in the next error

message, or try to deliver order that has caused it with

ship-to party .

Procedure for System Administration
