Using [custom] option in filter operator

According to the SAP Note Number: 1124906

there is an enhancement

  • Enhanced Filter Operator : The Filter operator has been significantly enhanced. The list of filter expressions has been revised and expanded to include "Does not . . ." expressions such as "Does not equal" and "Does not start with." In addition, a [custom] option enables you to define a dynamic expression for the operator, allowing you to filter results according to fields in any element in the model, separately, or in combination with another defined filter.

But I cannot find this in my VC application. Have anyone had any such luck, I tried to use Flex 2.0 as Compiler etc., but no such luck.

Hmm, but I do not seem to find "Custom option" still. The other options "not equal to..." etc, I am not interested in.

Does it require the use of Flex 2.0 to be able to see the new options, or have anyone other experience in this.

OK, so you mean Enhancement Package 1 - and that cannot be solved with any Service Pack 14 and above?

Hi,

you juste have to go to Compose, add the operator filter, connect it with what you want (BAPI etc...) and then configure the operator (right click > configure).

On the right you will see the field to filter on, and the drop down list will show "does not equal", "does not contain" etc... as described in the SAP note.
