Hello,

I want to ask one basic question regarding cut-over activity.

in many implementation it does not exactly exits, it will take 1-2 months to exactly change from legecy to SAP.

Is there any real cut-over date mention in ASAP.

Thanks

Hello RP,

Cut-over date means, after that date all transaction should be done in SAP.

There is no term like actual cut-over date.

Cut-over date generally lies some days before GO-live. after cut-over all transaction should be in SAP not in legecy.

Hello ,

Cut-over date means, dicontinuing from entering data in legecy system and start doing all transaction in SAP only

sometimes after cut-over date also, people used to do transactions in legecy system as it will take some time for users to go through it. but there is no actual cut over date like term in SAP

Hi,

Cut over is a phase of the project.

As you say it cannot be a day, since the whole activity may take even a month.

But it should be completed atleast a couple of days before go live.

This target date is commonly refereed to as the cut-over date.

Hope this is clear...

Ashok

Hi,

When we do the details scheduling of the project at that time we fix the cut over date.

Complete the production process after the cut off date of the project. Detailed plans need to be developed for cutting over from the old system to the new.
