IR Login Error

Dear All,

I can't login to Integration Repository/Directory after I installed JDK.

Following is the error:

Root cause:

com.sap.engine.services.rmi_p4.P4IOException: Cannot open connection on host: <my XI IP> and port: 50004

I'm not very sure what cause the error, but it happened only after I installed JDK. Yesterday i tried to uninstall the JDK 1.4.2_18 and i managed to login to IR and ID without any issue.

After that i tried to install lower version of JDK (version 1.4.2_10) and i still managed to login to IR and ID. (without restart after install).

This morning when i tried to login again and i found the same error as above even i didn't install or uninstall anything. The different only the OS has restarted this morning so maybe the JDK just take effect.

Please suggest what is the cause of this.

I must install JDK since i want to use Netweaver Developer Studio.

Best Regards,

Victor.

I can telnet to that IP 50004 without any error.

My firewall also off.

I tried again to uninstall the JDK but the problems still there.

Yesterday i uninstall the JDK and i managed to login, so i thought JDK cause the problems.

Please advice!

Victor.

Hi,

Just restart of J2ee server it will resolves the problem. The issue is on server side not on client side...thus even your re-installation of JDK...is not working.

Hi Swarup,

I solved the issue.

I think the issue not because of the JDK but in our LAN Setting.

I was managed to login if i connected via cable (wire), not using wireless. I need to check with my Network Administrator for this.

But anyway, thanks a lot for you that constantly help me a lot

Best Regards,

Victor.
