dear Gurus
Is it possible to transfer data from tally to sap for material master & vendor master?
if yes please help me
shree
Hi,
It is not possible to transfer Master Data (Material Master, Vendor Master, GL a/c) directly from Legacy (Tally) to SAP. Export master data (double check for any space before and after the data) from Tally to Excel and then convert this data to ASCII format file. And then use LSMW, BDC or BAPI (Uploading Tools provided by SAP) to upload data from ASCII format file to SAP.

Hi,
It is not possible to directly export data from tally to SAP for material master & vendor master.
First you have to export tally data into excel sheet, then you have insert corresponding data w.r.t excel sheet Fields then convert it into text file,by selecting all the excel sheet, right click on sheet, select format cell->text option, the save it by using Text(Tab limited) option.
Then use LSMW or BDC to upload data from text file or directly through excel sheet in SAP.

I think Export Option is there in Tally to MS Excel. First Convert the Master data into Excel / Flat File then later it can be easy to Upload the same using LSMW.

Hi,
No it is not possible directly.
Download the data and sort the data in a flat file and upload it by LSMW either by recording method / Batch input method. or through BDC with the help of the Abaper.
If the data is very less why not create it manually, if there is huge data then make use of either of the two methods.
Thanks & Regards,
Kiran
