New MaxDB version available: 7.6.05 Build 09 (incl. security patches)

Dear community,

MaxDB version 7.6.05 Build 09 is now available for download on SDN.

Please go to 'Downloads', then 'Software' -> 'MaxDB - Community Edition' and then select your version of choice.

This version includes the security issues mentioned in SAP notes [1178438|https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/_{form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=DISPL_TXT&_NNUM=1178438&_NLANG=EN>] and [1178584|https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/}form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=DISPL_TXT&_NNUM=1178584&_NLANG=EN>].

The relevant PTS messages are [1155045|http://maxdb.sap.com/webpts?wptsdetail=yes&ErrorType=0&ErrorID=1155045] and [1154788|http://maxdb.sap.com/webpts?wptsdetail=yes&ErrorType=0&ErrorID=1154788].

Good day

I have successfully installed MaxDB 7.6.3.15 on Windows Server 2003 SP2. When I try and upgrade or install 7.6.05 Build 009-123-191-997 it hangs when trying to register the instance and dbmsrv consumes almost 50% of the CPU continuously. Here is the log from the wrk dir:

If I install all packages except the Database Kernel it succeeds. If I then try and install the Database Kernel I get the following error:

HI Bradley,

please open a new thread for this problem as the current thread was just used to announce the new download.

From the error message it looks like there is some kind of permission problem.

Are you local Administrator on this machine?
