Changing Middleware with a working MI client

Hi

I have a working MI client connecting with a particular middleware. The device Id is generated with a particular middleware and everything is working fine.

Now somehow the requirement is to connect this MI client with another middleware and work with that new middleware.

Can you tell me how this can be done?

Is the any option other then reinstalling my MI client and connecting to the new middleware?

Ankur

(The Backend is the same, if it makes any difference)

    Hi,

There is a way you can perform a system copy from one NetWeaver WebAS to another and this also holds good for Mobile as well. Although there is no specific document for Mobile as such, you can refer to the following guides which holds good for NetWeaver WebAS as a whole (and therefore Mobile is also included)

Hope this helps and provides you some guidance.

    Best Regards

    Hi Ankur,

    Please go through this blog:

[https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/2686] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken];. It is really a nice blog. But it will delete all the history of previous synchronization with other servers. Maybe you can create an application out of it which saves a time for reinstallation of Creme, MI by hard resetting the PDA.

    Thanks in advance,

    John.
