What is the exact difference between HCI-PI and HCI-DS? Is HCI-DS is same as Data services in HANA? Is SDA ( Smart data Access ) and SDI ( Smart Data Integration ) is used for same purpose?
When SDA was already there to connect with external system, what difference does SDI makes.
CPI-DS (formerly HCI-DS) is basically Data Services hosted on SAP Cloud Platform. The architecture, performance, and design is very similar to on premise SAP Data Services.
I haven't worked with HCI-PI, so I can't really give you a solid use case example or difference from CPI-DS.
SDI and SDA are very closely related as well, they are used for data federation purposes, as well as some transformation. Main difference in SDA and SDI is that SDI supports real time replication, SDA does not. These products are optimized for working directly with a HANA source or target system since they are HANA native.
