Hi everyone,
What is the difference between 0art_plant_attr and 0mat_plant_attr.
I see some threads they mentioned use the 0art_plant_attr for delta load.
1. We are using R/3 4.7 and Bw 3.5. What is the meaning of retail system means?
2. Art and mat both are delta enabled
3. Both extract data from MARC
So why would I use one over the other? Thanks
Thanks,
Raj.
Hi,
0mat_plant_attr is used in case your r/3 source system is simply a erp system. 0art_plant_attr is used in case the industry solution retail is activated in your source system. Basically we are talking about material in almost all business areas, except in retail where we talk about an article.
With retail activated in your system there are some fields added to marc which will only be extracted by standard with the 0art_plant_attr datasource.

Hi Raj,
In retail environment, a product is called article and the datasource 0art_plant_attr is used to extract data in those industry sectors.
A simple reason for change in nomenclature in place of materail, thats usually used is, because of the wide range of products present in retail and configuring all these in masters is easier.
Hope this would give a lead for understanding.
