Batch Number

Dear All,

SAP system by default allows a 10 digit batch number, but the field length for Batch number is 20 digits long... how can i increase the length of batch number to 20 digits??

where do you see that the field length is 20 ???

If I look into table MCHA with transaction SE11 I can see it is 10 long.

The batch field has a domain called CHARG and there you can see no of characters as well as output length. Both are 10 in standard
