Hi,
May any one please let me know how I can reset the password the user used to log in to SAP IDM Management Console (Eclipse, correct me if required)?

Hi Faisal,
The password needs to be reset from the UME User Management Engine (UME) where the IDM Developer studio and service is installed. Log on to SAP NetWeaver Administrator at http(s)://<host>:<port>/useradmin and try to change the password.
