CIF is lock because of OPMode

Hello Gurus,

We have a problem right now wherein the OpMode in transaction CFC1 is set to I (Initial Data Transfer is active). A background job in updating of material master is locking an object in table CIFOPMODE. With this we cannot activate any Integration Model because of this locking. We try to delete the lock but it appears again after deletion.

We check our other R/3 system which is connected to APO and their OpMode is T (transactional Events active). We cannot change the OpMode to T as it is gray out.

Question is how does this OPMode are changed? We cannot see any log on who last change this configuration.

Thanks,

Raymond

Hi Raymond,

Please check below OSS note applicable to your scenario.

Note 775168 - Initial data transfer blocked by CIF locks.

Please check other oss note also for CIFOPMODE.

You can try cancelling the running Material Master Update Job if it is taking long time due to huge amount of delta transfer and locking the table.

Then activate and execute the Integration Model CIFing the transactions to APO and see if OpMode is Changed to T.

Hi Raymond,

If you are running a material master update then you are bound to face this issue. So you need to wait till the updating job completes its work & then resume with the IM activity.
