Is there way to restrict employee leave request?

Hi Experts!

I have Issue, One of our employees was raising a leave request where his leave balance was already exhausted. But still, he was able to post the leave request in sap Business ByDesign System. Did i miss any configuration for this, if not can you help in restricting the leave request when there is no time account balance?

I have also tested without any time-account balance and I found the system is triggering the leave request, I don't understand the system behavior.

Can anyone help me please?

Thanks for your response.

If time account balance is zero and if still system allow you to post the leaves, then we have missed one setting.

The setting is available in Activity List -> Time Accounts (country) -> Time Account types

Under time account you will have details where you can see "Check Limit". If "Fixed" is selected then system will not allow the employees to post leave beyond their time account balance.

Dear Varadharajan,

If time accounts are mapped to the time type used for applying leave , there should be enough quota in the respective time account instances

but if time type is not mapped or time account is not assigned to employee then system will not restrict.
