Calling Bex Analyzer workbooks from a Web Dynpro (ABAP)

Hi All,

I've created a web dynpro showing all workbooks and queries in a given user's roles, representet in a tree.

Now would like for the users to be able to click each 'leaf' (a query or a workbook) - and provide the result in either a different window (if its a query) or in the Bex Analyzer (in excel) (if its a workbook). Creating the link for the queries posed no problem, but I'm stuck concerning creation of the link to Bex Analyzer.

I've been following two different approaches, calling Bex analyzer directly via my abap code using the FM "RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL", and calling it via an URL, following this syntax

http://cb202p12.cbapps.int:53200/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fplatform_add_ons!2fcom.sap.ip.bi!2fiViews!2fcom.sap.ip.bi.bexanalyzer?WBID=4AU084BK6L5EA161LNV4ZJAUG

Unfortunetly they both fail !!!.

RSAH_LAUNCH_EXCEL results in a dump, complaining about "Screen output without connection to user." and "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND "

The URL link results in EXCEL complaining about an invalid gateway.

Any ideas anyone ?
