Hi experts

A customer is invoice for certain amount say Rs.1000

Later on it was observed that Rs.. 200 PRICE HAS BEEN REDUCED and we are supposed to give a credit note to customer for that Rs.200 WIHTOUT the quantity thorugh SD route..

Is there any way of doing that... currently in credit memo request we could find target qty.. but without mentioning the quantity the customer is to be given a credit note.

please advise

Yes you can create a credit note for price correction that will not affect the quantity. You can do that by using the SAP standard value credit note or invoice correction process.

Hi Dv,

We are also facing ths same problem but we resolved this by Z devlopment, the logic developed with the involvement of FI and ABAper in this developmet, the logic is just write a BDC in that BDC mention which account has to be credited and which account has to be debited built the intelligence in the BDC like that and finalise which fields has to be taken for input viz., inovice and how much value has to be credited etc.,

Any quiries revert back to me.

Regards,

kishore.

You don't need Z programs to create credits/debits and make the necessary G/L postings. Please make sure that the credit/debit document types in Sales configuration is set not to be mandotry reference.

Then through your pricing procedure assigned to the debit/credit documents you assign acc keys to the various pricing elements.

Thease account keys are then used in SAP standard account determination (which is determined automatically via access sequences) to pick up the correct G/L accounts to debit and credit.
