Is it possible to open a file (pdf) on click on a button or hyperlink in VC

Hi All,

I have a requirement wherein I want to open a file(pdf) either on click of a button or hyperlink. Is this possible in VC. If yes, how?

Yes,

You can open fiels form VC.

Using Hyperlink System actipn or Uisng HTML Iview.

Hi Govindu,

This is what I am doing.

1. I have created a push button.

2. I have selected the system action as hyperlink

3. I have provided the following url for test in the hyperlink : "http://www.google.com"

4. Saved, compiled and deployed but the button doesn't show any behavior when clicked.

Am I missing something?

Hi,

I am on EP7.0 SP12 and I have tried with webdynpro compiler as well as FLEX compiler. When I click on the button nothing happens. Please let me know if I missed out something.

Hi,

Yes because you are on SP12 ,its not working there.

Upgarde your SP TO SP15 OR SP16 .

then so many fetaures will work.

Are you pretty sure that this is not supported in SP12.

I mean let say not opening up a file but just providing a simple http url like "http://www.google.com" for the hyperlink won't result into anything. I just need an assurance before putting this in front of the client.

Hi,

That type of Info i am not able to give to you.

You can find the OSS messaages if any body had created for that,otherwise creat a OSS message for that issue then they will reply to you with the Solution that can be shown to your Officials

and also Check Note No 1020064 ,in this they told something about Hyper link action
