Availability Check during Sales order creation

Hi

While I create a sales order and Availability check should be carried out at plant level and not the storage location level... planning is happening at plant level and these orders should be considered as receipts... But storage location field is mandatory in the sales order.. Can you help me out on this.. is there any standard SAP solution for this?

Can you please explain the Biz scenario? Are you doing a return process? Do you have different Storage location for receipt?

Let us know more on these only then we will be able to help.

Hi Biju

We are working on a Make to Stock scenario, we create a sales order and goods is issued for delivery from stock, there is only on storage location... while creating a sales order the user wants to check like when he could promise the sale order quantity to the client..... Hope this clarifies

Have you configured the OVZ9 correctly as per your requirement?

OVZ9 is configured to include the receipts.. the problem is there are no plans at storage location level and while creating sales order availability check is carried out at Storage location level... so there are no results... Availability should be done at the plant level...

Hi Jade,

Can you check how ur Storage location MRP is configured.

Production>MRP>Planning>define storage location MRP per plant > check if this is blank?

The setting is in place, its not black this storage location is excluded....
