MATMAS Extension for POIM

HI All

We are using messgae type MATMAS (basic type MATMAS05 with Extension) to send material master data out of ECC to MES system. POIM transaction is used to generate the IDOCs. Now we are creating a extension to MATMAS01 to accomodate 2 new fields which are absent in Standard template.

Quesions:

1. Since we create an extension to message MATMAS with basic type MATMAS05, will this have an impact on MM interface if they use this message type MATMAS with basic type MATMAS02? If yes how ?

Note : We have condition to trigger this extension for message MATMAS , basic type MATMAS05 only for Interface relevant materials.
